Chapter Update: Welcome & New Scholarship Announcement 

 

Dear Incoming Student and Family,

 

The next academic year seems like it is always around the corner! Let us be among the first to welcome you to Southern Methodist University.

 

Kappa Sigma was founded at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA in 1869.  Our chapter, Delta-Pi, was founded at Southern Methodist University in 1927, and has proudly celebrated 87 years of Brotherhood.  Kappa Sigma is dedicated to the Pursuit of Learning, and the Delta-Pi Chapter is now accepting applications for the Star and Crescent Scholarship.  This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to two students who exemplify the core values of Kappa Sigma: Fellowship, Scholarship, Leadership and Service. 

 

The application for the scholarship can be found at www.smukappasigma.com.   After filling out the application, a member from the scholarship committee will reach out to you to set up a lunch or dinner interview with several of the brothers.   After all interviews are completed, the Brothers will host a barbeque to announce the winners of the scholarship.  

The application deadline is September 30th.
